Creating enlivens my Spirit, feeds my Soul, and while working I exist in a Space of Timelessness. How much more blessed can one be? (I am willing to find out!)

Susan’s pieces are created from an inner awareness that an individual is desiring the frequency of certain gemstones in their life. In response to that call, she uses dowsing to reveal the stones that can match the request and identify the platforms on which to present them, i.e., in or on a frame, backed by canvas or wood, or perhaps, embellishing a weaving made with copper wire, and a new art piece is conceived. Its completion is sometimes swift or it might take weeks.

Her love of texture lured her into an explorative dance to partner copper's energetic connectivity and richness with the lush shapes and hues of semi-precious stones. She highlights these elements as the living art they are. When copper is left untreated it oxidizes, altering its appearance over time and allowing it to graciously season into a new expression of itself — as do we (hopefully). This focus produces uniquely individual pieces of art that embody the color, texture, beauty, and vibrancy of the Earth and beyond.

Over the years her artwork has been placed in galleries in Tucson, Arizona, Mesilla, New Mexico and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, California.
